China’s first domestically built cruise ship, the Adora Magic City, has successfully completed its inaugural trial voyage on July 24, 2023. The ship is set to launch an eight-night summer special route from Shanghai and an 11-night summer route by the Adora Mediterranea from Tianjin. These announcements were made by Adora Cruises Ltd on February 24, marking a significant milestone in China’s cruise industry.

Exciting Summer Itineraries and Cultural Experiences

The *Adora Magic City* will kick off its summer special route on July 24, allowing passengers to explore popular destinations such as Jeju, Maizuru, Niigata, and Hakodate. Each voyage promises a blend of natural beauty and cultural history, catering to diverse guest preferences. The cruise aims to provide an enriching experience that highlights the essence of Chinese culture.

Shipping Markets: Summer Was a Mixed Bag

Meanwhile, the *Adora Mediterranea* will begin its long cruise journey on August 7, with stops in Fukuoka, Hakodate, Otaru, and Nagasaki. Adora Cruises emphasizes that these summer routes are designed to offer innovative cultural tourism experiences tailored specifically for Chinese travelers. The company has already welcomed over 520,000 guests from both domestic and international markets aboard its two cruise ships.
